Travel directions to the NTUA
By Taxi: In case you take a taxi, either from the airport or from a hotel / the city center, you should ask the driver to take you to the Zografou Campus of the National Technical University of Athens.
There is a highway connecting the airport to the campus, so that the ride should be traffic-free and last approximately 30 mins. The prices of taxi rides from the airport are basically fixed (so that drivers cannot trick passengers), and the ride should cost around 35-40 Euros (plus maybe tolls, etc.).
Once you arrive at the campus you should ask the driver to take you to the “New Buildings” of SEMFE (ΣΕΜΦΕ in Greek), located next to the chapel. SEMFE exists as a location in google maps and other GPS maps, so that should not be a big problem (however our campus is complicated and taxi drivers are not always happy to enter …).
By Metro: In case you take the metro, either from the airport or from a hotel / the city center, you should take Line 3 (blue line) and exit at station “Katechaki”. There, you should take bus No. 242 to the Zografou Campus of the National Technical University of Athens. (More details https://www.athenstransport.com/2016/09/ekpa-zografou/)
The price for the metro ticket is
- €9 from the airport (single ticket); €16 for return ticket
- €1,20 for a 90-min ticket within Athens, for all buses, metro and tram.
Note that metro tickets are rechargeable, so don’t throw yours away. More information on metro tickets are available here: https://www.athenstransport.com/english/tickets/
By Bus: Bus 608 from downtown Athens stops next to the Zografou entrance of the NTUA Campus. The bus stop is called “9th Zografou” (“9η ΖΩΓΡΑΦΟΥ” in Greek).
